What the new plan ID means for you
S5715-046 is the 2027 ID of the same drug plan: CMS lists it as a renewal of S5617-143, not as a new plan. In Nevada, HealthSpring Assurance Rx (PDP) appears as S5617-143 in the CMS 2026 Landscape file and as S5715-046 in the 2027 file, with Health Care Service Corporation as its parent organization in both, so a 2027 letter or plan comparison that shows S5715-046 is about this plan. It renews automatically on January 1 with every change listed in its Annual Notice of Change (ANOC), which can include the premium, the deductible, the pharmacies and the drug list, so read yours before December 7; our guide to the ANOC letter shows what to check first. Another HealthSpring drug plan, HealthSpring Extra Rx (PDP) S5617-379, is not offered in Nevada in 2027, and the crosswalk does not move its members into this plan.
Comparing drug plans for 2027
If the plan still suits you after its 2027 changes, you can let it renew. If it does not, you can switch during the Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 through December 7, to another stand-alone drug plan or, if you would rather leave Original Medicare, to a Medicare Advantage plan that includes drug coverage, where one is offered in your county, and the new plan starts January 1. Nevada has 9 stand-alone drug plans in the CMS 2027 Landscape file, down from 10 in 2026. Drug plans differ in premiums, deductibles, pharmacies and which drugs they cover, so the useful comparison runs your own prescriptions through each plan.
